I got some good pictures today and in the end I was getting overawed by the beauty that was being pushed in my face. I ended up wanting it to stop.
I took Fizz up to the Badger sett and we saw lots of amazing stuff and my camera stayed in it’s case. I played ball with the dog. We can do amazing tomorrow.
A few days ago I posted my first pictures of the Marbled white and some of you said really nice things (thank you) but I knew that I hadn’t done it Justice.
These next pictures are good. I am not an artist and sadly I didn’t create any of this stuff, I pointed my stick at something beautiful. All of my pictures are and have always been, free of copyright and water marks and absolutely free to download and use in any way that you like. In this way I believe that I can give something back to the Spirit and to the animal who gave me these things. (And my “search” feature works very well) I am a hunter and I follow the old ways.
I hope that you like the pictures.
Marbled White, Melanargia galathea.
I post my best stuff on Wikimedia under a creative commons license that allows free use. It takes me a bit of time to get around to doing that and so you get it first. I am an anarchist but there is nothing to be afraid of. It just means that I believe in personal responsibility, that I make the decisions rather than they are made for me and that I take the blame. I don’t put bombs in polling stations.
The Marbled White is very beautiful.
Tuesday is my whiskey night, you figured 🙂 🙂 🙂

Very co-operative subject — was it cool when you saw her — when it’s hot it seems to me they flit away much quicker!
Thanks.

Hi Diana 🙂 It wasn’t really cool, it was about mid day and a pleasant day too. There were lots of other butterflies that wouldn’t let me near them. I was desperate to get the little Common Blue and also the Skippers but they were having none of it. This was just the one animal that did want to be photographed and I was lucky to find her 🙂 There is always one.
