You would think that if we ever get around to giving Weevils the vote (and why not?) then this little Weevil would probably vote for the Green Party.
Wrong. He told me that he was an anarchist and that meant that he believed in personal responsibility (for his stinging nettle) rather than decentralisation of the postal system.
I will never understand Weevils but this does look like a particularly responsible one who cares for his nettle and a busy little fellow.
This is a Phyllobius Weevil but I am not sure which one. There are a few green Phyllobius Weevils that look very similar and I can’t get this one to species but (leaving aside it’s politics) it is a nice little animal.
